2019 Ironmark Incentive Trip to Aruba
At the end of February, the Ironmark President’s Club traveled to Aruba to enjoy the sound of steel drums, refreshing coconut beverages, a catamaran sail, and lots of warm sunshine!
Sunday, February 24th
On Sunday morning, the 2019 Ironmark President’s Club members and their guests departed Baltimore on their non-stop flight to Aruba. Upon arrival at the airport in Aruba, everyone was greeted with cold bottles of water and towels to freshen up and hydrate before their private 25-minute transfer to the Hilton Aruba. Everyone checking in, got their room keys, and then visited the Ironmark hospitality desk to receive their welcome packets. Guests then had a few hours on their own to relax and explore the resort before the welcome dinner reception.
At the welcome reception, guests arrived at the North Pool and were greeted by the tropical sounds of the steel drums and our Coco man! He cut fresh coconuts, chilled the water, and then poured it back into the coconut and added a little rum to make a sweet and refreshing cocktail! Everyone mingled and got to know each other, all while enjoying the top-shelf open bar.
As the sun set, the dinner buffet opened and guests enjoyed dishes such as seafood fettuccini; tropical mahi mahi with papaya, pineapple, pepper, and cilantro relish; and Caribbean rubbed skirt steak with chimichurri. Yum!
The rest of the evening was spent at their leisure. Some tried their luck in the casino, while others decided to relax in the comfort of their partial ocean view rooms.
Monday, February 25th
After a brief state of the company meeting, everyone was given the rest of the day to enjoy on their own. Many rented beach palapas or pool cabanas and enjoyed the warmth of the sun and the sand between their toes.
Before the sun could set on our second day in paradise, we gathered the group at Piet’s Pier to board a catamaran for a private sail, exclusively for Ironmark’s President’s Club.
The infamous trade winds of the region lifted our sails and set us on a course north to the California Lighthouse—named for the steamship California, which was wrecked in the area in 1891. After two hours on the open sea and a picture-perfect sunset, we returned to the pier. The group enjoyed dinner and the rest of the evening on their own.
Tuesday, February 26th
Guests enjoyed their last full day on their own. Some went on a thrilling UTV tour of the island and others soaked in their last moments of sunshine. Dinner this evening was al fresco at the Hilton’s Sunset Grill—one of the island’s best steakhouses.
Wednesday, February 27th
Before departing the hotel for our transfer to the airport, the President’s Club enjoyed one last private meal together at Laguna Restaurant. While enjoying lunch and ice-cold margaritas, Matt Marzullo, the SVP of sales and marketing, announced the location for next year’s incentive—Cabos San Lucas!
